#1 on the list in https://ukrainesocialprojects.blogspot.com

The summer rehabilitation camp for war veterans located in Katranka, 165 km from Odesa, in proximity to the Black Sea, needs to be brought to condition to properly service the war veterans and their families.
In the summers of 2015 and 2016, more than 400 war veterans and their families took advantage of these facilities but the living conditions were very difficult.
The buildings are old and need repairs.  Doors, windows, walls and floors need refurbishing.  Ramps for access by wheelchair need to be installed for each of the eight wooden buildings.  Bio washrooms and shower cabins need to be installed, as well as kitchen facilities.  Some basic furniture must be bought – bunk beds, tables, chairs and benches.
Financial assistance needed:  65,000 USD for the repairs and purchases, 7,000 USD for administrative costs; and 3,000 USD to cover the debt for the rental of the land from the local authorities to whom the land belongs.

2.  Zashkiv Help Center/Halfway Home for Adult Orphans

#6 on the list in https://ukrainesocialprojects.blogspot.com

In the quiet historical Zashkiv village, 20 km west from the city of Lviv there is the possibility of setting up a help center/halfway home for adult orphans who are left on their own as soon as they reach legal age.
Since the state does not provide accommodation facilities for orphans after they finish high school, this halfway home is being set up to provide a home for orphaned children who have nowhere to go after their secondary level studies.  This halfway home is to prevent that the orphans end up in the world of drugs, crime and despair.

Two bare land plots of 0.15 and 0.15 hectare (30 ares or 3,000m2) have already been reserved for the halfway home located on a slope nearby a forest at the end of a quiet street.  A preliminary sketch of the building has been done for a fee.  These two land plots will provide space for a garden and an orchard. Ideally a third land plot totally nearby should be acquired for permaculture and gardening activities.  No need to dig a well, but a metal fence has to be installed, and electricity connected.

Basic furniture will be bought for the house (bunk beds, tables, chairs and benches; kitchen appliances, bathroom equipment, washing machines).  Nothing superfluous.

Financial assistance needed immediately:  5,000 USD for the building documentation; 34,000 USD to purchase the 0.30 ha (two land plots); 15,500 USD to purchase the third land plot (0.15ha); 40,000 USD to lay down the foundations; 3,500 USD to cover administrative costs.  For a total interim amount of 98,000 USD of the 504,000 USD needed.

3.  Bandura and National Musical Instruments Center
#8 on the list in https://ukrainesocialprojects.blogspot.com

In the historical village of Buzova, 30 km west from Kyiv, to help adult orphans and youth pursuing their studies of the bandura, a Ukrainian national instrument, a bandura revival center is to be set up to help the popularization of the bandura and its manufacturing.  This revival center will also act as a much needed gathering center for those interested in the revival of Ukrainian culture for the Buzova village area whose cultural life is almost nonexistant.
The bandura revival center will provide living and working facilities to a group of students from all over Ukraine.  Their activities will be part of their curriculum at the Chaikovskyi National Music Academy (known as the Kyiv Conservatory).  The main focus will be on reviving the Kharkivska bandura, and the custom building and repairing of existing banduras and other Ukrainian national instruments.  Such a repair service for musical instruments is very much in demand and cannot be responded to due to the scarcity of such specialists.  The building will be an adapted two-storey construction of the Khata Shevchenka.  There will be rooms for designing the bandura and other instruments, carving, cutting, sanding, painting, drying and displaying the finished works of art for sales purposes.  There will be also a storage room for materials and equipment needed for the construction of the instruments.
To get this project off the ground, three bare land plots of 0.15 hectare each are to be purchased.  In addition, another 0.15 ha, 0.7 ha land plots must be acquired to allow permaculture and gardening.  Towards this end, 67,000 USD are needed.  Another 7,000 USD to cover construction documentation costs for the building;  40,000 USD to lay down the foundations; and 20,500 USD to dig the well, install a metal fence, and connect the electricity. Total interim amount of 134,500 USD out of a total of 388,500 USD.
